What are the Documents Required for an Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificate?

Acceptable proof of business is required by the Certificate Authorities; these company documents will require South African equivalents, and the purchaser of the SSL will be contacted regarding them by the CA.

  • DUNS number (Dun & Bradstreet)
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Business License
  • Doing Business As (DBA) registration
  • Partnership documentation
  • Sole Proprietorship documentation

NOTE: Other documentation may be required either by the EV SSL provider, such as agreements for signing, or from the CA should your business be less than a year old.
